Mid-Columbia Wind Tomorrow is Coming with Major Fire Danger
Dry enough for ya? It'll be so nice to get some heat relief starting tomorrow and into the weekend, but things might actually be getting worse if fire gets into the mix. A FIRE WEATHER WATCH will be in effect tomorrow morning (6/4) through tomorrow evening. A 'watch' is one step away from a 'warning.' If things get worse, it will be upgraded to a warning.
A Fire Weather Watch means our area is getting prime for fires...that means low humidity and very dry conditions. Add a little wind to that and there you go. We're expecting 15-25 mph winds tomorrow as we cool down to the low 90s. Even more wind is on the way as we get into just the upper 70s by Saturday. The problem is that with the exception of some showers or thunderstorms near the Blues or Cascades, we're not expecting any rain.
