
Man Crashes Stolen Vehicle After Attempting to Run Down Local Landowner
A man is in jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle after attempting to hit another with it.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office was called out for a report of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday afternoon at about 4 pm.

As Deputies arrived at the scene in the area of West Horrigan Road and South Glade Creek Road, the landowner attempted to make contact with the vehicle. The driver then tried to hit the landowner with the vehicle. The driver took off and crashed about a mile down the road.
Once again, the landowner located the vehicle but the driver had fled into a wheat field.
At this time, a local farmer used his airplane to give deputies the suspect's location from the air. Deputies were eventually able to safely take the man into custody.
After investigation, Kennewick Police made a stolen vehicle report on the vehicle in question. The suspect was booked into the Benton County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
