If you've ever been downtown Seattle, you can't miss the iconic building that Macy's has been a part of for over 90 years and now sadly it's closing its doors.

It's now goodbye for Macy's after 90 years in the building as the company is selling off the rest of their interests in the iconic structure.

The building sits at 3rd and Pine Street in Seattle and opened in 1928 as the flagship of the Macy's department stores in the Pacific Northwest.

Macy's has leased several floors to Amazon for the last few years, signaling the power of online shopping.

The building was declared a national landmark in 1988 so a lot of the building will be preserved no matter who the owner is.

Clearance sales will start in early 2020 and Macy's expects to shudder the doors in early 2020. Holiday festivities which Macy's is famous for will go uninterrupted this year and kick-off on November 29th.

You can check out more details on the closure here.
