The viral raccoon Jimothy is on a popularity roll. And, like the Energizer bunny, this cute little guy keeps going and going, and going. Not only has Jimothy received a Mariners scoreboard shoutout, he's also getting an official city proclamation. And, his popularity is growing.

Videos of the odd-looking raccoon are being shared everywhere, and have taken the internet by storm. The popular raccoon lives in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. In a matter of days, Jimothy has inspired fan art, memes, a "Make Noise for Jimothy" message on the Mariners scoreboard, and millions and millions of views on social media. This Sunday, Seattle will honor Jimothy with an official city proclamation of Jimothy Summer.

Seriously, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has not received a single call about Jimothy, and advises everyone to leave the adorable critter alone. While new sightings are popping up, Jimothy is thriving on his own, and doing just fine in his new celebrity status.
