You hear it all the time, "Boy, if these scammers would work at a job as hard as they work at scamming, they would be very successful!"

And here's a scam I haven't heard of before. It doesn't involve swindling the elderly out of their hard-earned savings, or pretending to be from the IRS (please pay with Amazon gift cards LOL).

It has to do with staging a fake car accident. It's hard to believe that these scammers made almost a million dollars inj false insurance claims. But now several residents from Kennewick have been busted and are facing indictment.

Other participants were from California, Michigan, Nevada, and even British Columbia. They would stage the auto accidents and then fake serious injuries so they could make claims to insurance companies and collect money for lost wages, injuries, and property damage.
