
Juvenile Arrested in Kennewick for Possessing Stolen Firearm
A juvenile was arrested in Kennewick on Wednesday, for unlawful possession of a firearm.
The incident began at about 2:16 pm, as Kennewick Police Officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the 2700 block of West Kennewick Avenue. There was a report of a juvenile male possibly armed, making threats.

Before Police Arrived, the Suspect Fled the Scene
Upon arrival, officers quickly located an individual matching the suspect's description. As Police attempted to make contact with the potentially armed and dangerous suspect, he took off running at lightning speed.
This led to a brief foot pursuit with Officers in tow. Eventually, Police were able to surround the energetic suspect, and took him safely into custody.
The fast-moving Suspect Was Found to Have a Weapon on Him
After Investigation, Officers did indeed recover a firearm in the juvenile's possession. This wasn't just any firearm. It was a STOLEN weapon.
The Juvenile Male Was Booked for Multiple Charges
The boy was booked into the Benton-Franklin Juvenile Justice Center for several crimnal offenses, including:
• Unlawful Possession of a firearm
• Obstructing a Public Servant
• Resisting arrest
