Juniper Dunes Visitors Urged to Follow Rules as Patrols Increase

There are some rules you'll want to follow, and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department is warning people about emphasis patrols that'll hopefully keep riders safe over the next few months.

If you did get stopped, this is what they are looking for:

• ORV Registration Violations (RCW 46.09.410 / 46.09.495.2)
• No Vehicle Registration (RCW 46.09.440)
• Riders under 16 without adult supervision (RCW 46.09.460)
• Operating ORVs on roadways (RCW 46.09.470.1)
• Reckless operation / endangering property (RCW 46.09.470.1A)
• No lights after dusk (RCW 46.09.470.1B)
• No spark arrester (RCW 46.09.470.1D)
• No helmet or seatbelt (RCW 46.09.495)
• Failure to title/register (RCW 46.09.495.1A)
• Violations of land management rules (BLM) (RCW 46.09.470.1I)
• Illegal outdoor burning (RCW 70A.15.5010)

As ORV activity increases, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) will be actively enforcing violations to protect riders, families, and the environment at Juniper Dunes.

This includes increased patrols and strict adherence to regulations. Riders are urged to familiarize themselves with the rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
