It’s a shame that Hood River doesn’t get more props. This town in Oregon is my most favorite place to visit, other than Portland. (Nothing compares to Portland, don’t worry, I didn’t get it twisted!) I’ve only been to Hood River a handful of times and each time I visit, I fall more in love with it. It is very laid-back, chill, peaceful, and friendly. I feel welcomed there with open arms. I think Hood River is truly the most underrated town in all of Oregon.

I first started getting into the groove of Hood River when one of my besties told me she and her family always travel there for one of their summer vacation spots every year, and her husband likes to go to Hood River with just the two of them on romantic getaways. Rawr.

I had to know what was so enticing in Hood River that my friends were willing to make the two-hour trek there at least twice a year. If you’ve been there, you already know that Hood River has got it going on.

It will be very tough to decide which one of the amazing Hood River eateries you’ll end up going to. I loved the place where you can order your food and drinks at the window and then sit down outside on the deck (Full Sail Brewing).

Take off your shoes and walk across the rocks to the shores at the waterfront in Hood River.

When was the last time you took a sound bath? They have that here in Hood River at Flow Studio.

I have never been to the Hood River Hops Fest but now that I know about it, I’m going to have to grab some friends and go. October 7th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hood River Event Site.

I hope you’ll get a chance to visit Hood River soon and see why I am claiming it is Oregon's most underrated city.
