Further Details Emerge From Monday’s Fred Meyer Shooting in Richland

The Benton County Prosecutor's Office has released the probable-cause report for Fred Meyer shooter, Aaron Kelly.

Aaron Kelly was suspected of shoplifting in the Richland Fred Meyer store a few days earlier, February 3rd. A Fred Meyer employee took a photo of Aaron Kelly on that day.

There is no current information to show that Mr. Kelly knew Justin Krumbah, other than surveillance cameras capturing a short conversation between the two in aisle 14.

Police contacted the shooter's former roommate who reported that Aaron Kelly had been spiraling mentally and is very paranoid. There doesn't seem to be much information right now as to why he shot the second person.
