Fundraiser to Assist WA Woman After Devastating Dog Attack
The Tri-Cities community is coming together to help a woman who was viciously attacked by two dogs last week.
On Friday, March 28th, Janna Davis of Richland was walking her Corgi, Chicken Nugget, just before 6 am, near Lewis and Clark Elementary School. Two loose dogs appeared out of nowhere, aggressively locked in on Chicken Nugget and Davis. The frightened woman was able to scoop up her pet by the harness. But, it was too late.

Davis was dragged to the ground in the altercation. She dropped Chicken Nugget, as the dogs attacked. As the woman laid on top of her pooch to protect him, the dogs violently attacked her. According to a GoFundMe:
Janna quite literally threw herself over her corgi and struggled to fight them for over four minutes until a passerby jogging saw and came to her rescue. Several community members called 911 to report the attack but by the time police arrived the dogs had run away.
Davis was transported to the hospital. She suffered a broken ankle, and multiple lacerations all over, including her leg and face, requiring many stitches.
While Chicken Nugget received a clean bill of health at a local animal hospital, Janna recently learned her fate at the dentist. 13 of her teeth were knocked loose. And, so, 13 teeth will need to be extracted, and denture plates are necessary.
