The first day of the largest four day Rodeo in the nation was today! What a fantastic start to a four day fun filled week for the 2013 Pendleton Roundup!

Of course ironically it also falls on the Anniversary of one of the worst days in the nation's history being 9/11.

Opening ceremony was heartfelt and inspiring, With the flags risen and the National  Anthem sung by Reba McEntire's Sister Susie McEntire.

Honor was given to those whose lives were lost.

Exciting bareback bronc riders filled the arena afterwards and then the amazing Indian bareback relay got underway and was very cool to watch!

I wish we could have stayed longer but had duties back at the station to take care of.

If you have any chance of making it to Pendleton to see this years Roundup Rodeo, You won't regret it. Vendors, food concessions, music, and all that Rodeo action! 4 days only.

Get to Pendleton and let er' buck!
