Dead Elk on Road Sends Pasco Woman to Hospital

A 48 year old Pasco woman was transported to Kadlec hospital after she hit a dead elk that was in the middle of the road.

Not only was she injured but her car a Nissan Versa was totaled in the freak accident.

According to the Washington State patrol the accident happened on SR-24. The woman has been identified as 48 year old Bertha Escalante Ramirez, no word on her injuries or condition at this time.
