Sherwood Schwartz, the man who created The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island, died of natural causes early this morning. He was 94.

Schwartz worked in radio for Bob Hope before moving to television.  He also worked on series such as ‘My Favorite Martian’ and ‘Harper Valley PTA.’

But he is perhaps best known for creating – and writing the catchy theme songs for – ‘The Brady Bunch’ and ‘Gilligan’s Island.’

Schwartz is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Schwartz, and four children. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death.
