Washington has been home to many incredible actors spanning generations.

The Evergreen State has had a huge influence on pop culture, movies, and television. Twin Peaks and Grey's Anatomy are both set and filmed in Washington and are considered to be among the greatest television shows of all time. Not bad for a state with half a dozen volcanoes. Various films have either been set in Washington (Benny & Joon in Spokane) or used our beautiful state as filming locations for some gorgeous shots, like Die Hard 2 (Moses Lake) and the newly-released Top Gun: Maverick.

Chris Pratt may be the most famous Washingtonian in the world.

The everyman's man of actors, Chris Pratt rose to prominence as Andy Dwyer on Parks & Recreation, before getting his really big break when he was cast as Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise that lends itself to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. Between his dozen appearances in the Marvel movies, Pratt also leads the cast of the new Jurassic World series, which reunites Jeff Goldblum with Laura Dern and Sam Neill in mere days. Outside of work, Pratt has married into the Schwarzenegger family, marrying Arnold's oldest daughter. The couple has since welcomed a new baby. Before he even considered being an actor, Pratt was living in Lake Stevens, eventually graduating from Lake Stevens High School. Even with the fame, Pratt seems to stay true to his roots, as he is the most recognizable Seattle Seahawks fan in the world.
