Best Places to Buy Summer Melons in Tri-Cities and Mid Columbia

Last week I shared how I can't get enough cantaloupe and watermelon this summer. I'm going broke $4 at a time! I asked where the best places to buy fresh melons were and here's what you said:

• Walchlis Farms near Hermiston -- and apparently they bring the melons to Tri-Cities every Thursday for the Southridge Farmers Market.
• Corner of 395 and Kennewick Ave. in Kennewick
• Cool Slice fruit stand on the corner of 42nd and Court St. in Pasco
• Bellenger Farms along 395 near Hermiston
• Country Mercantile
• The HUB in Richland

According to a Monday article from KNDU now is the time to get your watermelon. RIGHT NOW is harvesting time at the local farms and the crop should be delicious!
