Benton Franklin Fair is ON for 2021! Maybe.

Don't you just miss the smell of the Fair? Yes, the aromas of Piggly's barbecue, fresh elephant ears, and corn dogs & cotton candy just make me miss the Fair. And from the department of 'better safe than sorry', the folks at the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo have decided to set dates for the Fair this year. Now they admit they can't predict the future, so it all remains to be seen as far as how the covid business goes. But they're hoping the fair will take place August 24th through the 28th . I know this is all really tough on the artists that are booked to the fair also. I am sure will get a schedule of concert events in the near future as well. But naturally, it all depends on where the artist lives and how covid is doing there, is the artist touring in high covid spots, or are all the vaccinations really doing their job and going to permit fairs, concerts and the like for 2021? If the fair is on this year, at least we don't have to deal with mad cow disease so we can see all the livestock! How about some rodeo action too? I miss it all and the heat of August seems to be just perfect with the best week of summer at the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo.
