Be Careful Near Rivers & Streams This Spring!
A woman died "wading" into the Spokane River near the park. I put wade in quotation marks because I don't know if she was being stupid or intentionally getting in the river. But it's an excellent reminder: cautious near local rivers and streams right now!
The Yakima and Columbia are abnormally high. The Walla Walla and Touchet Rivers are RAGING. The Umatilla River is dangerously fast and cold right now.
Don't let kids and dogs near the banks. Don't goof around climbing on bridges and rocks. Spring break is coming up and people are going to seek beautiful places to eat lunch, throw a ball for a dog, and take selfies. BE CAREFUL!
