There are a lot of Westerns out there and they're not all equal. People mistakenly think I love Westerns -- I only love good Westerns. Here are 7 movies for people who don't like Westerns.

The Cowboys

Starring John Wayne -- it's a great story and one of the greatest movies of all time. It makes me sad so many people haven't seen it.

Tombstone

I talk about this movie all the time. It's my all-time favorite. It's just so fast paced with great lines.

Wyatt Earp

Starring Kevin Costner with Dennis Quaid. This is slower paced, but is so authentic feeling.

Open Range

This is a 20-minute gun fight that carries a two-hour film like a champ.

The Magnificent Seven

I can't actually guarantee you'll like this one, but for fans of Westerns, this is canon. So if you're going to foray into the genre, it's a must-see.

Maverick (1994)

This joy ride with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster truly is a Western for people who don't like Westerns.Featuring James Garner.

Space Cowboys
