Witness the Epic Salmon Journey at McNary Dam
The 2016 fall Chinook salmon run is under way a great way to observe their epic journey to reproduce and die is to view the fish at McNary dam.
Some days as many as 15,000 fish cross the dam as they head up stream to their spawning grounds. The Department of Fish and Wildlife predict nearly 1 million fish will return to their birth places in the Columbia River! WOW go catch a fish but make sure you purchase the proper license and know the rules of the river!!
McNary Dam and Locks are open year round from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
