With the upcoming ONE-night-only release of a documentary of the history of the Gorge Ampitheatre, I thought it would be appropriate and necessary to review the most famous people who have had the honor of playing the Gorge Ampitheatre. So many artists have had the privilege to play the Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA. From solo artists to bands and many festivals, including the Sasquatch Festival which takes place every year during the Memorial Day weekend. Has your favorite musician played the Gorge yet?

The Documentary-

Enormous: The Gorge Story premieres this Wednesday, July 21st. The documentary follows how a family-owned winery turned into a massive, internationally known concert venue that has attracted the biggest names in the music industry.

Locally, you can see the movie at Fairchild Cinemas, Queensgate 12 in Richland. Showings will be held in Walla Walla, Moses Lake, Wenatchee, Yakima, and Spokane.

We're so fortunate that with just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road, you can see internationally known acts on a slice of property overlooking the mighty Columbia River. Formerly known as the Champs de Brionne Music Theatre, from 1986-1993. The original amphitheater was owned and operated by Dr. Vincent Bryan and Carol Bryan, Years later, the venue would be purchased by Live Nation.

The Gorge hosts many festivals

The Gorge Ampitheatre has seen many acts over the years. The venue has become the featured site for several festivals, including Watershed, a 3-day music fest with traditionally Country artists. Lilith Fair, Sasquatch! Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and Ozzfest are some of the events to occur on a regular basis.

The Gorge re-opens with the Watershed festival from July 30th through August 1st. Tim McGraw, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, and others are scheduled.
