As a recent transplant to the Evergreen State, I have to ask what are the must-see camping locations?  While we are in a pandemic, one activity that is encouraged is camping.

While running a google search of the must-see destinations in Washington and Oregon, I discovered the tops sights in Washington and Oregon's most popular places.  I formed my must-see list from the top 5 of both sites.

In Washington, those included are, Mount St. Helens, Olympic National Park, the Columbia River Gorge, North Cascades National Park, and Mount Ranier National Park.

In Oregon, the top spots are Crater Lake National Park, Cannon Beach, the Willamette Valley, Lincoln City, and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

And, we'll be traveling with minimal setup.  I'm just glad it's not a tent, although, I have nothing against tent camping.  I just love being a little more stable.  One day, maybe, we'll do the real camping deal...an RV.

I also have to know what the essential requirements are for planning such an excursion.  It's been a number of years.  In fact, the very last time I did camp, was to see Tom Petty in concert.  We had a tent and an inflatable mattress.  Life was good for that night.  Although, we did forget matches to light the campfire.

If you've had the opportunity to experience any of the above-listed destinations, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  Or, if there's a particular camping spot you'd like to share that I don't know about, please share the location or recommendation.  I'm glad to be back and look forward to spending more time experiencing the beautiful sites of the Pacific Northwest.
