What Relationship Is Your Cousin’s Child to You? It’s Not What You Think

Most of us think that the son or daughter of our cousin is our "second cousin." I always did. But while blogging about the very talented daughter of my cousin, I wasn't totally sure what to call her. It turns out, according to several different websites, it's appropriate to call them your niece or nephew but they are NOT YOUR SECOND COUSIN! They are your "first cousin once removed."

I'm gonna keep it simple and just call her my cousin's daughter. LOL
