What Does ‘Do the Dougie’ Mean in Blake Shelton’s Song ‘Boys Round Here’?

Woody posted to his Facebook page, "I don't do the Dougie." I had no idea what he was talking about. When 'Boys Round Here' came on The KORD this morning, he asked me if I "Do the Dougie." I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. He told me to pay attention to the lyrics I've posted.

You don't do the Dougie? No, not in Kentucky."

So we looked it up. It's a hip hop dance. check out the video below.

So I said, "Looks like the Carlton Dance!" Woody thinks that may be where the Dougie originated:

In that case, YES, I can do the Dougie! But in solidarity with Woody, Blake Shelton and Kentucky, I have to so, "NO!"
