Last week we featured a story about a young man named David Yearsley, an 11-year-old who put on a hat and beard for his annual school picture. Well, apparently some folks didn't like this. Check out the letter and information people have sent to his mother Sonja.

This is part of what was sent:

With ignorant 'parents' like you -- no wonder teachers are quitting. Where's your husband? Why didn't the stupid photographer stop him? Idiot kid. And you think it's funny?"

First of all, to the people that sent this to the family: Get a life! It's people like you that never bring anything to the party! You are the type that suck the life out of laughter -- you are a funslayer!

Haters are stuck in a mental prison of jealousy and self-doubt that blinds them from living a healthy life and constantly draws boundaries only to find themselves caged in a life of boredom. Haters don't really hate you, they hate themselves because you're a reflection of what they want to be.

As a parent of two boys I have always, ALWAYS promoted laughter in my house! Laughter is generated by jokes, pranks and funny quotes! And with laughter comes smiling, and we are constantly smiling. My oldest son is currently serving in the Unites States Air Force and the youngest aspires to be a pastor -- OMG! My kids are out of control!

To the Yearsley family: let your freak flag fly. Keep laughter in your home.

By the way, Beardowear.com is offering 15% off of their crochet beard/hats if you use 'DAVID' as a promo code. Pretty cool!
