Watch Out for Fake Benjamins in the Mid Columbia

Pendleton police busted five guys suspected of printing and distributing fake $100 bills in Umatilla County.

They were apparently washing out and then printing over $1 bills. I'd love to know how that's done -- not to become a criminal but just to watch! It sounds fascinating. And then because criminals aren't that smart, they spent most of the money in March in a handful of local businesses.

They'll be spending several years in prison for a federal crime so they could have a couple sandwiches I guess.
