For the 1st time in over 50 years scientists have captured baby wolverines (Kits) on camera in the William O Douglas Wilderness in the Cascades!

This discovery is VERY important and signifies that this animal which has dwindling numbers though out the US are coming back...Here's the adorable footage!

We have an update on our wolverine mother, Pepper! .. After extensive tracking, our crew discovered her reproductive den and deployed cameras which revealed two kits! The kits, whose sex are unknown, are 2.5 to 3 months old now and will remain with their mother until autumn at the earliest. .. As the only known breeding wolverines south of Interstate 90 in Washington, Pepper and her mate, who was also photographed visiting the den, have made history as the first documented reproductive pair in the Southern Cascades in over 75 years. .. Not only a milestone in documenting the recolonization of wolverines into southern Washington, this finding is only the third den discovered in the state in modern times and will contribute to our knowledge of wolverine reproduction in the lower 48 and the threats posed by climate change. .. We cannot do it without your help. Please donate on facebook or at www.cascadescarnivore.org. All funds will support wolverine research efforts in Washington. ..
