Tri-City Entrepreneur Now Facing Second Major Lawsuit

On the heels of a lawsuit from a staffing firm over unpaid bills, a bank has now filed a lawsuit against Tri-Cities entrepreneur Kristopher Lapp over an unpaid loan.

Columbia State Bank is headquartered in Tacoma and lists some 150 branches, mostly on the West Side, Oregon and Idaho. The closest branch is in Pendleton, OR. The bank has filed papers in Benton County Superior Court claiming Kristopher Lapp, owner if i3Global (a Kennewick-based IT and media services company) has not repaid its $856,000 loan from 2017.

Columbia says none of the money has been repaid, and Lapp has also accrued some $27K in interest. The suit asks the court to force Lapp to repay the principal loan, interest, and per terms of the contract, the forfeiture of i3Global assets because they were put up as collateral. The terms apparently indicated Lapp would be responsible if the loan was not repaid.

In April, Integrated Global Staffing sued i3Global for $400K never paid to them for work done. Integrated says in that suit some Federal funds were supposed to be directed to them for work, but it never was paid.

Lapp was doing work as a subcontractor for Mission Support Alliance at Hanford.
