Tri-Cities in 2012 Revisited: See the Insanely Dramatic Change
Things have changed dramatically since 2012.
It's hard (I'm unwilling) to believe 2012 was a decade ago. Since 2012, the Avengers have assembled, Spider-Man has been recast again, we've had two new presidents, the iPad was invented, Venmo became a thing, Vine died, Musical.ly (gross) became TikTok (grosser), My Chemical Romance broke up and reunited, Tom Brady won four Super Bowls, and we've sent civilians to space. A lot can happen in ten years.
This is me on the day of my graduation, June 6, 2012. After I popped my gown off, I went down to Townsquare Media and signed my contract. This is the only constant in my life over the course of a decade.
This is me on my wedding day, October 24, 2015. A mere three years later, you can see things were changing.
This is me after the birth of my second daughter, on September 24, 2021. If my life can change so much after ten years, imagine how much the Tri-Cities has changed.
Tri-Cities has changed so much in merely ten years.
Ask around the Tri-Cities and most people will tell you their favorite thing about living here is the local business scene. But it's a double-edged sword. Sure, we have our longstanding institutions, but as the years fly by, things rarely stay the same. Businesses come and go, people come and go. I'd like to invite you to join me on a walk down memory lane, as we remember Tri-Cities as it was back in 2012.
