After an abbreviated parade in 2020 because of COVID-19, the Tri-Cities Christmas Lighted Boat Parade will be back on the water and at full strength on two big nights this year -  Friday, December 3rd, and Saturday, December 4th.  The boats will line up and set sail at 6:00 pm each night, spreading good cheer and the Christmas spirit up and down the Columbia River.

The parade route begins at Clover Island (near the Cable Bridge) and will make its way west along the Kennewick side of the river and cruise to the far end of Howard Amon Park in Richland, arriving at 7:30 pm. It will then head back east making another pass along Columbia Park and ending at Clover Island where it will make an encore loop for spectators on the island before parking at the marina at 9:00 pm.

Some tips for viewing the parade include securing a parking spot along the Kennewick side of the river early, wearing warm clothing (if you plan to be outside your vehicle), something warm to drink, snacks, and your favorite holiday song playlist.  A camper trailer works great for a large group. Also, although you can see the parade from the Pasco side of the river in Wade Park, you won't get the full impact of the lights and designs.

Whether you plan to attend with family and friends, as a couple, or alone, you’ll surely feel the spirit of the season. If you would like to enter your boat in the parade or learn more, everything you need to know is right here.

The Christmas Lighted Boat Parade has been in existence since 1964 and is presented by the Clover Island Yacht Club. Check out a video from years past below.
