Tri-Cities’ Country Singer, Kate Turner, Drops Long-Awaited EP “Men Like You”
Who is Kate Turner?
Originally from Burbank, Washington, Kate Turner experienced huge success in 2011 with her song “Baby No”. She was on a roll and recognized as an upcoming star in the country music industry - working with and opening for some of the biggest names at that time - Tim McGraw, Gretchen Wilson, and Sawyer Brown. However, after facing challenges as a young woman in the music industry, including sexual harassment and other pressures, she gave up her singing career and decided to focus on her family.

As reported by Tumbleweird.com earlier this month, Kate Turner is back with a new EP, and although she’s known for her work in jazz and R&B, Kate’s new release stays true to her roots - country.
The “Men Like You” title track is traditional and features local Grammy-winning bluegrass player, Joe Smart. From the first note, you can hear the influences of one of her inspirations, country legend, Hank Williams. True country fans will eat it up!
With “Men Like You” and an upcoming jazz/R&B album in the works, Kate is blazing back into the spotlight. She told Tumbleweird.com, “This is me finishing something I started 20 years ago.”
Kate Turner is back on the road
Those familiar with Kate Turner and her music are celebrating her return to the stage–and she’s been busy - performing throughout Washington and Oregon over the winter. She recently partnered with Big Nose Kate Western Whiskey as a brand ambassador which comes with a sponsorship for her upcoming regional tour set for early fall of 2025. The brand and Big Nose Kate were built around "the story of a fiercely brave and independent woman, Kate Horoney", which perfectly aligns with Turner's comeback.
