Successful Event for Trooper Atkinson!

Tuesday evening in Kennewick was a beautiful night, not only because the weather was exceptional, but because I witnessed love in its finest form! KAPP/KVEW and the Hub in Kennewick put together a great event to benefit State Trooper Dean Atkinson, the officer who was shot in the line of duty in Walla Walla, a few weeks ago.

A huge crowd gathered and drank beer. For every beer purchased, the proceeds went to Trooper Atkinson and his family. The results were fantastic and I am happy to report, one hundred and forty-four beers were sold! Between the beer sales and the cash donations, the money raised was $2289.00!

Thank you to all the Breweries who donated kegs (Brew House Brew Pub, Quirk Brewing, Burwood Brewing, and Five Dollar Ranch) and to DJ Raymond Live for spinning the tunes.

It makes me proud to live in this wonderful community and from all of us at Townsquare media, we wish Trooper Atkinson a full and speedy recovery! To all the men and women in uniform, please stay safe out there, and thank you for all you do!
