
SR 2 Reopens: Stevens Pass Skiers Are Back on Track
Great news for fans of Stevens Pass Ski Resort: State Route 2 is partially open between Skykomish and Leavenworth. The highway reopened on Monday morning, allowing ski fans access to the popular destination.
Stevens Pass Is Officially Open for Skiing and Riding Today.
WSDOT announced today that road access will be partially restored from the East side starting Monday morning. We understand this still impacts our skiers and riders traveling from the East, and that those traveling from the West will still face significant challenges until access is restored, which we should know more about next week.

A pilot car will navigate vehicles on the 7-mile stretch of raod daily between 6 am and 6 pm. According to reports, the section of SR 2 between Stevens Pass and Skykomish will take longer to reopen due to bridge damage.
A much anticipated announcement will be made next Tuesday regarding possible reopening of that stretch of the highway.
State Route 2 partially reopened Monday at 6 am, after severe flooding washed out a portion of the heavily traveled roadway.
