Shania Twain is in the recording studio, working on a duet with fellow Canadian Michael Buble. During a video chat with fans last week, the pop singer revealed he’s working on a Christmas album that includes a “bouncy” version of ‘White Christmas’ with Shania Twain.

Shania shares a connection beyond being Canadian with the three-time Grammy winner. Producer David Foster is in charge of the project for Buble. That’s the same David Foster that helped Twain move past some of her vocal self-doubt during an emotional episode of ‘Why Not? With Shania Twain’ on OWN network last month. Although she’s recorded holiday music in the past, Twain has never released a Christmas album.

Buble talked like the song is finished, and also revealed other songs on the album to be ‘Blue Christmas’ and ‘All I Want For Christmas is You.’ Michael says “I didn’t want to be hip or edgy. I just wanted to make a really sweet Christmas record that kids can grow up with,” he says. There’s no official release date yet, but the singer promises the album will be timely. I would suggest before Christmas.

Just in case you have not seen it yet here is Shania's video for "Today Is Your Day".
