Beggars Banquet benefiting Safe Harbor Support Center

Tickets Now Available

KENNEWICK, WASHINGTON ‒ Safe Harbor Support Center and My Friends’ Place are committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens when there are no alternatives. You can help this organization to continue its mission by attending the Beggars Banquet on November 2, 5:30 p.m. at the Benton Franklin County Fairgrounds. Tickets are on sale now for $50 or $400 for a table of 8. A limited number of “100 Bowls” VIP tickets are available for $100 each.

This beloved annual event will include live and silent auctions featuring vacation packages, unique experiences, and the popular “Tiny Tree Auction.” The Soup-Tasting Contest is a popular annual feature of the banquet where guests try delicious tastings from various local restaurants then vote to award the coveted “Best Soup in Town” award. Returning this year is the VIP pre-function party at 4:30 p.m. named “100 Bowls” available to only 100 ticketholders. “100 Bowls” VIP ticketholders receive a custom made soup bowl by local artist Pat Flemming, light hors d’oeuvres, drinks and early entry to the Beggars Banquet.

“Every night Tri-Cities teens are living in cars, under overpass bridges, in tents and on friends’ couches. As homelessness continues to be on the rise in the Mid-Columbia so are the needs at My Friends’ Place,” said Safe Harbor Support Center Executive Director, Karen Kirk-Brockman. “Guests who support this event are helping our mission of providing outreach, support and training for families in our community.”

Tickets for this annual event are available now at tinyurl.com/BeggarsBanquet2019 or by calling 509.783.5734. Beggars Banquet sponsors include Gesa Credit Union, Washington River Protection Solutions, McCurley Integrity Subaru, Lucas Engineering and GLD Consulting.
