
Richland Swift Stop Heist: One Caught, Two Still on the Run
One Suspect Was Arrested After a Burglary at the Swift Stop in Richland.
On Tuesday, May 27th at 3:15 am, Police were dispatched to the business at 2110 Swift Boulevard. Upon arrival, Officers found the front door shattered. Inside, it was discovered that thieves had stolen the cash register, lottery scratch-off tickets, and cigarettes.
Video Surveillance Showed 3 Suspects in a Black Nissan Altima Were Involved.
Duct tape was covering the license plate. The suspect vehicle took off from the business. According to the Richland Police Department, the Flock camera system was used to locate the vehicle based on its description.
At 6 am the Nissan Altima Was Spotted and Stopped by a Richland Police Officer.
The vehicle was located in Kennewick, where the driver was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail. The car was impounded, and a search warrant was obtained to search it for evidence of the burglary.
