Starting a small business can be a daunting but rewarding venture. The good news, according to a new nationwide survey, Richland is ranked #2 in the nation for the best place to start a small business.
In a survey published by Verizon.com, Logan Utah is ranked #1 in the nation for a great place to start a small business but Richland is ranked #2 and that's quite the honor.
Richland Is Ranked #2 At Starting A Small Business In The Nation
It's the first year Richland has made the list and here's what the survey said on why Richland is so attractive to small business owner start-ups:
This year Richland, WA joined our list as the second-best small city for small businesses. While it is a small city, it’s packed year-round with fun outdoor activities, music festivals, and cultural showcases. Roughly 25% of Richland residents hold a bachelor’s degree, and earn 4% more than the average income. Their broadband access is also 4% higher than average. Richland is a young city, with a dense suburban feel making it one of the best places to live in Washington.
Richland wasn't the only Washington that scored well on this nationwide survey. Olympia ranked #6.
Other states like Oregon, Utah, and Montana also scored high on the survey as well.
