Early Wednesday morning, a two-car accident blocked traffic at Jadwin and Catskill and the driver fled the scene.

Richland police say the suspect, wearing grey shirt and tan shorts, fled the scene. It was later discovered he was 16 years old and driving without a license. Police did not say which vehicle he was driving, but the other vehicle's driver was injured.

They were taken to the hospital. Police say the suspect was eastbound on Catskill, and ran the stop sign at Jadwin, slamming into the other vehicle. Officers didn't say if more than one person was in the victim's car.

However a short time later, with help from the Kennewick K-9 unit, the suspect was located and arrested. More details expected soon.
