A dry cold front will cause windy conditions this afternoon and tonight throughout the Columbia Basin and Northeast Oregon. The National Weather Service reports the combination of  gusty winds, low humidity and dry brush will create extreme fire danger.  If a fire were to start, it would likely spread quickly and be very unpredictable. No outdoor burning is allowed.

The Red Flag Warning will remain in effect until 10pm tonight.  Expect blowing dust tonight and cooler temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday with highs only in low to mid 80s. Tonight's low is expected to dip down to around 50.

Don't worry, Summer isn't over yet. Temperatures will slowly rise back into the triple digits on Sunday and Monday. Perfect weather to clean up the dust with a power washer.
