If you were driving home yesterday afternoon over the Blue Bridge, you must have been stuck in the traffic jam caused by a potato truck being flipped over.

The semi flipped just past the Blue Bridge on the Kennewick side as it was turning the first curve. Investigators of the crash say that the driver, identified as Aeryk Guzman, was driving too fast causing the potatoes to shift. Guzman claims he was not speeding, according to reports.

The semi was loaded with 40,000 pounds of potatoes when it flipped. Luckily there were no injuries in the accident but the semi did spill some fuel that had to be cleaned up.

Traffic was backed up most of the afternoon and evening while crews cleaned up the mess.
