Portland Had an Actual Tornado Yesterday
The storms that came rumbling through our neck of the woods in WA and OR were nothing compared to the weather they got in Portland.
They had a confirmed tornado!
It was 40 yards wide at one point. Winds in the tornado were about 80 miles an hour (which is pretty weak as far as tornadoes go, but we'll take what we can get).
The twister cruised for about a mile after it touched down around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Anyone remember when Salt Lake City had a tornado in 1999?
Or what about Mountain Home, Idaho's touchdown in May of this year?
Ready for me to blow your mind? Washington state has 2.5 tornadoes PER YEAR! It's true.
