Is The Old Shilo's Inn Being Renovated?

There is one hitch, the owners of the property would like to purchase the 20 acres that the hotel sits on so they can expand the property to include a wine village.

The Oregon-based Fortify Holdings believes the 20-acre purchase hinges on the city of Richland approving the plan.

The purchase would allow for expansion of the property to include views of the Columbia River.

The owners contend that the property without the acreage would be "wasted" if the business wasn't allowed to expand.

No word on when the city council will respond to the application but Fortify Holdings has until March 31st, 2022 to close the deal.

Several other hotels in Richland are seeing renovations into "mini-apartments" including the Days Inn and Best Western Inn.
