Linda Brown's home and most of her possessions were destroyed in a fire Saturday.

Brown, who is a dog's best friend, has been doing foster care for dogs since the 1970s. Twelve dogs were killed in the fire, but four of the animals made it out alive. The animals were treated for smoke inhalation, but are expected to make a full recovery.

When she returned home on Saturday her home was already on fire; neighbors had to restrain her from trying to enter the burning building and try to save the dogs.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, and I think this women was doing something good for animals that needed her help. If you know of anything we can do to help Linda Brown, please let me know at chuckhall@townsquaremedia.com.

Hey Tri-Cities, let's give this unselfish, unsung hero some help. I will look into the matter and keep you posted. Anyone who devotes their time to help abused and homeless dogs is tops in my book. Way to go Linda Brown.
