Kennewick’s 4th of July “River of Fire” Back on!
Exciting news! Kennewick's River of Fire annual fireworks event held by the City of Kennewick and the Gesa Carousel of Dreams will happen this year at Columbia park. The 4th of July is back on!
According to a press release issued Wednesday morning, the decision was made to reschedule the previously postponed show after the Governor announced that the state would reopen on July 1st.
With the support of Gesa, Toyota of Tri-Cities, Retter & Company | Sotheby’s International Realty, Moon Security, and Bruce Inc., the event will be free to the public.
Kennewick City Manager Marie Mosley said,
“Tri-Cities families deserve to enjoy one of America’s greatest traditions, and Columbia Park features the space and accommodations to observe Independence Day with a first-rate show."
Fireworks will launch from the shoreline in front of the Columbia Park TriPlex driving range at about 10 pm on the 4th of July.
As personal fireworks are banned in Kennewick, this is a wonderful way for families to enjoy a great fireworks display safely.
Plan to pack up the kids, pack the picnic basket and cooler. Don't forget a blanket, or maybe lawn chairs to enjoy the show comfortably.
It's kind of fun to have an event to look forward to, and on the 4th of July, celebrating the Declaration of Independence of our nation is the perfect holiday.
Once final plans are ironed out, additional details will be released.
See you at Columbia Park on the 4th!
