Kennewick Police took down a man accused of assaulting a female.

It happened Thursday afternoon at about 5:20 pm. Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Entiat Avenue, where a witness reportedly saw the 29-year-old suspect strike a female.

Upon arrival, Police quickly located the suspect who was NOT cooperative. The man ran away from the area. Containment was set up in the area. The suspect continued making his getaway along the railroad tracks. One officer saw the suspect duck down in some brush. The suspect was able to get away again, by hopping a fence into the grounds of a business. Kennewick Police Officers were waiting on the other side of the fence.

The suspect was taken into custody for multiple warrants.

The man was wanted for a felony warrant, Assault, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Public Servant.
