Kennewick Police Arrest 17-Year-Old Suspect in Shooting
A 17-year-old male was arrested for a July 8th shooting in Kennewick.
The Kennewick Police Department took the male into custody on Friday for his involvement in the shooting which injured another juvenile.
According to the Police Department's Facebook:
On Friday, July 8, 2022 at about 1:25 PM, Kennewick Police Department Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East 10th Ave for an Assault with Weapons. Dispatch advised a male had received a gunshot wound to his lower extremities. Additionally, dispatch advised the suspect immediately fled the area. When officers arrived to the scene, they began to render aid to the victim, which was later identified as a juvenile. The suspect had fled the scene prior to Officers arrival. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
A search warrant was served on Friday at a residence in the 1400 block of South Fir Street. That's where they found the suspect and searched for evidence related to the July 8th shooting.
The suspect was booked for suspicion of Assault-1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
