Growing up a kid in Eastern Washington, I've always known one of the best places to get away to is Wallowa Lake. It seems like one celebrity also agrees with that assessment.

Actor and all-around swell guy Jack Black made an appearance over the weekend on the waters of Wallowa Lake.

Photos snapped by the Wallowa Lake Marina show Jack, family, and friends enjoying a gorgeous Sunday on the lake fishing.

It even appears that Mr. Black caught himself some nice trout in the adventure as well.

Wallowa Lake Residents Were Surprised To See Jack Black In Town

According to an article from Fox 12, Jack and his family were enjoying dinner in the area after the recent Tenacious D concert in Portland when he was spotted by a local employee who offered up a free pontoon tour of the lake.

To say the least, Jack and the crew enjoyed some amazing views and some terrific fishing on the truly gorgeous waters of Wallowa Lake.

One can hope that Jack will return to Hollywood and sing the praises of the beauty of the lake. As a kid, it was one of my favorite places and when I got married, it's where I spent my honeymoon.

Thanks to the Wallowa Lake Marina for showing the hospitality and I'm sure Jack and his family got an experience that he soon won't forget.
