
Kennewick Public ‘Relieving’ Suspect Also Busted for Illegal ‘Pistol’ Possesion (Firearm)
A report of a man relieving himself in public early Monday morning led to an arrest on a weapons charge.
Man Was Doing His Business near Clearwater and North Johnson Street
Around 12:23 AM, calls came in about a man who was committing lewd behavior, urinating near the corner.

As Officers arrived, they located a vehicle apparently related to the incident, and inside found that 44-year-old Richard Martinez was in possession of a stolen handgun. It had been reported missing out of Montana. This is the location where he was arrested.

Not Only Did Suspect Illegally Have the Gun, But...
Martinez was detained without incident, and Officers learned during the on-scene investigation he is a convicted felon and a registered sex offender. Being a felon, he cannot legally possess any firearms.
He was transported to the Benton County Jail and booked on multiple charges, the investigation continues.
