Hundreds of Decks of Cards are Being Sent to Sen. Maureen Walsh

Washington Senator Maureen Walsh made the now infamous comment that nurses just play cards all day, and the backfire is more than verbal. Hundreds and hundreds of decks of cards are being sent to her office. So far she's received around 1,700 decks according to reports. Initial backlash led to a challenge to have the Senator shadow a nurse for a 12 hour shift, which she has apparently agreed to do. In addition the challenge and the hundreds upon hundreds of decks of cards, her office has also been pelted with thousands of emails and phone calls.

Sen. Walsh is going to donate the cards to nursing homes and veterans and senior centers, so that's pretty cool.
