Andrew Kirk[/caption]The 17th annual Custer's Christmas Arts & Crafts Show at TRAC last weekend was packed with people examining tree ornaments, wreaths, chocolate fudge, candied popcorn and more while Christmas music played overhead. We're still in the first week of November, but it was a clear signal the holiday shopping season is underway!
Did you make it out to the arts & crafts show? It had wonderful variety. The creativity of the vendors was so inspiring! I especially enjoyed the sculpted candle maker who dipped the candles and carved them right before your eyes!

Here's the other gal dipping the candles. With 8 vats of warmed wax and one with cold water, she continuously dipped the candle from the wax to the water allowing her to add several layers of color quickly.

These are hand-made dulcimers. It only has four strings, and the fingers only slide over 2 strings; the other two are for harmony. This makes them exceptionally easy to learn.
