The FREE festival promises lots of fun for the whole family on Saturday, August 20th in Downtown Hermiston, OR. Melon Fest runs from 9 am till 3 pm. The fun event is hosted by the Hermiston Downtown District & Hermiston Parks & Recreation.

What Time Are The Bathtub Races?

Bathtub races are scheduled to begin at 12 Noon, with teams of 3 competing, 2 to push and 1 to steer. Team uniforms and slogans are encouraged. If you haven't registered yet, you can register your team here.

According to the Facebook post:

Splash your way to victory in the annual MelonFest Bathtub Races! The Grand prize value is worth $300. Grab 2 friends and navigate through the 100' course in a single-elimination race tournament. This is a FUN EVENT and you WILL GET WET! Team uniforms/costumes and team names are encouraged!

The Watermelon Costume Contest is at 10 am.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers will be awarded and recognized for their creativity.

Melon Fest will feature face painting, a photo booth, kids' games, an obstacle course, food and craft vendors, and FREE watermelon slices.
